Ames has developed and commercialized Copper materials using highly-engineered, proprietary, wet precipitation and mechanical milling processes.  While most of our Copper materials are precisely engineered as inputs for our Silver coated powders and flakes manufacturing processes, we have the ability to customize any Copper powder or flake to specific market needs.

Some of the typical applications for Copper powders and flakes are: conductive adhesives, polymeric inks, friction components, metallurgical alloying, welding and brazing.

COPPER POWDERS

We manufacture Copper powders via chemical precipitation for several decades, and we currently have a vast selection of precisely controlled amorphous (agglomerated), and easily dispersible spherical Copper powders. Our Copper powders are primarily engineered for our flaking and coating processes, and can be used in a variety of applications including polymer thick film inks, conductive adhesives, and printed electronics.

Our Copper powders are made to advanced industry standards, and stand out through their advanced performance, unmatched quality, and flexibility to meet ever changing market demands.

COPPER FLAKES

We are a world leading supplier of Silver coated Copper flakes to the electronics industry with more than 25 commercial offerings of advanced mechanically milled Copper flakes coated with Silver. Our Copper flakes are used as inputs for our Silver coated Copper flake products, and stand out through their exceptional control on ionic purity levels, and physical characteristics such as morphology, aspect ratio, particle size, size distribution, as well as through their specially customized, controlled surface coatings designed to specifically match specific industry needs.

Our Copper flakes are primarily produced through wet mechanical milling processes, and we commercially use newer milling technologies that offer technical advantages to our Copper flakes.
