Ames Goldsmith UK Ltd completed pre-registration of its products in August 08.

This means that Ames Goldsmith UK Ltd can continue production of silver nitrate and silver oxide until full Registration under REACh is complete.

Under the EU REACh regulations, which came into force in 2007, all substances produced or imported (in volumes over 1 tonne a year) must be registered before the end of 2018.

The actual deadline for registration is dependant on the annual volumesand hazards of a substance.

Silver nitrate must be registered before the end of 2010.  This is obviously a challenging target, but Ames Goldsmith are working hard within the Precious Metals and Rhenium Consortium to acheive it.  Becasue of this hard work we are positive our products will be registered in time meaning a continued supply for our customers.
